Our Take

While its selection of over 25 high paying offers might be appealing, Offerforge might not be the choice for you if you have an international audience.

Offerforge promises to only charge advertisers once the advertiser’s objectives are met. Whether that be increased brand awareness, leads, or sales. This means that affiliate marketers and their performance are the bread and butter of Offerforge’s operations.

While its selection of over 25 high paying offers might be appealing, Offerforge might not be the choice for you if you have an international audience.

Pros Explained

Over 25 offers to promote: Offerforge offers over 25 affiliate programs for publishers to promote. This gives marketers many options to choose  a program that best fits their audience.

High commision rates: With Offerforge, publishers can have high commission rates, with some affiliate programs having commission up to 20%, which is quite high when you have to factor in the product markup, Offerforge’s fees, and applicable taxes to the advertisers.

Fast and easy to join the network: Signing up takes but a matter of minutes, and does not require a lot of information.

Multiple currencies supported with monthly payouts: Once signed up, your payment information can easily be added as either a corporation, individual (sole proprietor) partnership or other entity.

Flexible business models: Choose between display, pay-per click, lead or acquisition based offers. Once you’ve chosen an offer, grab creatives from the offer – which may include email templates for email marketing, display banners of the most common ad formats and sizes ready to be added on your site alongside your content, or simply the affiliate link which you can link to from your own content or social media marketing.

Real-time performance reporting: Offerforge provides insightful real-time reporting in intuitive tables which contain information on everything you need to know about the performance of your affiliate marketing efforts. Additionally, you can also easily export your information and work in excel or google sheets to organize your data to your liking. Lastly, offerforge also provides a reporting API for more advanced users.

Training resources provided: Offerforge also has an Affiliate Training page on their website where they have a few articles helping affiliate newbies to get started with their platform as well as explaining some affiliate concepts. Additionally we can also follow updates and additional information on Offerforge’s partnerships via their blog along with videos where they talk to a representative from some of their advertisers. This is a great way for affiliates to learn more about the products and services they are promoting alongside their own brands.

Cons Explained

Low range of product and service types to promote: Although Offerforge has over 25 affiliate programs to promote, these programs primarily consist of insurance, loans, competitions, and a handful of ecommerce offers, thus not having something for every audience or publisher.

Primarily local offers: If you have an international audience, then Offerforge might not be your best bet – unless you are able to geo-target. Over 80% of the affiliate programs available on Offerforge are local. If your audience is mainly local, then Offerforge is still a good network to consider.

The platform is complex and may be confusing, especially to newcomers: Once you’ve signed up and have first logged in, you’re immediately greeted with your dashboard which contains tables showing your own affiliate referral link, various performance tables, and summaries. Additionally you can also navigate to other sections in your account which include a page for all the Offers on Offerforge, a Reports page with even more in-depth tables showcasing your performance.

Finally, there are also sections where you can search product feeds, update your account info, and stay up-to-date with the latest activity and account alerts. Offerforge also offers a reporting API for advanced users, without much mention of what it can be used for.

Depending on your experience and knowledge with traditional and digital marketing, you may experience a steep learning curve – due to the dashboards and reporting not being too user-friendly.

Payout Limits

The minimum monthly payout from your earnings with Offerforge is R100/R500 (Not very clear, I know). Additionally you are also able to select a higher payout value. South African publishers are paid via EFT (electronic funds transfer). If your company is VAT registered, you will need to issue a VAT invoice to Offerforge. Furthermore, international publishers are paid by wire in South African Rand (ZAR) or in their currency equivalent.

Opening an Account

Signing up with Offerforge is easy. All you need to do is submit information about you or your company, which includes some marketing information, your contact information, and lastly your payment information.

Mobile App

Offerforge does not have a mobile app. At minimum a laptop is recommended to get the most benefit out of using the Offerforge online platform.

Account Management

Each publisher has their own account manager, who can easily be contacted via phone, email, or WhatsApp. For advertisers, an account executive will assist you through the process of setting up your account and campaigns, as well  monitoring and optimising the performance of those campaigns.

Other Features You Should Know

With Offerforge publishers can promote individual products and services by appending some product page information to their affiliate links in the form of parameters. You may need to read up on how to do this, as it may differ for each affiliate program.

However, this is a great feature due to the fact that you are able to for example review a specific product – link directly to that product page with an affiliate link – and finally earn commission from any sales you drive to the affiliate program. This saves time for users having to search for products themselves.

Make Extra Money

Offerforge has its own referral program. For each advertiser you refer, you get R20.00 in compensation. Additionally, you also have your own affiliate referral link, of which you can earn commission on the sales of affiliates you have referred to the Offerforge Affiliate Network.
